How to Recover Subway Surfers Data

Recover Subway Surfers Data

Need to get your Subway Surfers data back, whether you played since its release in 2012 or only started recently? Though it is an endless game those unfamiliar could determine is easy to start from scratch, we know that isn’t the case. We truly understand your desire and concern. In-game progress is valuable and something that drives us to push forward, regardless if it’s a day or a year old. We’ve had lots of people give up on their accounts without a decent attempt at recovery. While we won’t lie and say there’s a lot to try, you can still learn how to recover Subway Surfers data. Let’s start.

Table of Contents

  • 1. Use Online Save to recover data from Subway Surfers on Android and iOS
  • 2. Contact Subway Surfers’ User Care

1. Use Online Save to recover data from Subway Surfers on Android and iOS

After repeated requests to introduce a backup feature, Subways Surfers premiered Online Save. It’s a cloud sync feature released with the Subway Surfers World Tour: New York 2018 update. Thus, you can only utilize it if the data you seek is newer than that date. It allows Subway Surfers players to save their progress on one device automatically, then continue where they left off on another. This is simultaneously the primary and only officially supported user-end recovery procedure.

For this to work, you must have logged in at least once to a Facebook, Google, Apple, or Game Center account. It’s also important to note that your data was only synced to one of those accounts and cannot be transferred to another account afterward. With that said, you merely have to:

  1. Launch Subway Surfers on a new device. If you’re using the same gadget, log out first. If step 3 doesn’t work, you can reinstall the mobile application after deleting the old one or performing a factory reset.
  2. Enable mobile data or connect to the Wi-Fi.
  3. Sign in with the same Subway Surfers account you used for Online Save and wait a bit for the data to sync. Relaunch the application you don’t see any changes immediately.
  4. If you’re a paid user and don’t see the history of payments or the things you purchased, don’t fret. Do this:
    1. Open the Shop or Settings (cogwheel icon) menu within the app, depending on the version.
    2. Head over to the Store section.
    3. Scroll down and select the Restore purchases button.

Things to keep in mind about Online Save

Online Save is, at the time of writing, not a cross-platform feature. In other words, you can only restore an Android backup on an Android device. The same applies to Apple devices. However, some users report they could restore Android data to an iOS device and vice versa when using a Facebook account. We can’t vouch for that method, but it’s worth a shot. Other users claim Facebook only saved their high scores, not account data, so be careful there, too. Another important thing is that while Kindle devices can play the game, they don’t have access to Online Save.

2. Contact Subway Surfers’ User Care

We will exclude a third-party backup application or service from the demonstration since the choice is vast. Plus, those people already know which software to use for restoration. With that said, reaching out to User Support is the only other way to recover data from Subway Surfers:

  1. Head over to the SYBO Zendesk Submit a Request page.
  2. Fill out your name, e-mail address, and Subject (“Data recovery” or something similar), before describing the problem in the “Description” field.
  3. Select your country, game version, and operating system (under “Platform”), then select Cloud Save & Account under “Ticket type”.
  4. Optional. Fill out the optional fields and upload screenshots. You can find your Player ID and User ID by going to Settings (gears icon) in the app, then tapping the game version in the top right corner. You’ll see a “Copied Info To Clipboard” notification, allowing you to paste the ID into the field.
  5. Click on Submit and wait for a response to the e-mail address you provided.

Note. Subway Surfers stated they usually can not reverse any purchases made with Keys or Coins in-game. However, but left the option open for extreme cases and technical problems, such as the game crashing. We suggest following the steps above nonetheless—at least you may get what you paid for.
