iTunes is a powerful tool that can help you manage your media files, including music, movies, TV shows, and apps. If you have a large collection of media files, backing them up can be a convenient way to ensure that they are safe and accessible. You can also use iTunes to sync your media files between different devices, such as your computer and iPhone. Your iTunes backup can save you a lot of time and hassle if you ever need to recover your files or switch to a new computer.
Even if you never use iTunes, it’s a good idea to create a backup periodically if you ever need to access your data in the future.
