WhatsApp is widely accepted as one of the most commonly used instant messaging applications. Being owned by the tech giant Facebook, WhatsApp has several interesting features. You can also make audio calls and video calls with WhatsApp. Along with these features, it introduced an additional feature called “Delete for Everyone” in 2017. So, if you send something through WhatsApp and if you changed your mind later, you can immediately delete it. This applies to anything you send – text messages, photos, videos, voice recordings, documents, location, or contacts. This can be done within 1 hour after you send the message. So, what if you are the receiver and the sender deletes the message before you save it? How can you recover WhatsApp images deleted By the sender?
So, are you looking for a solution to such a problem? You have reached the right place! We have listed a few methods to help you recover your WhatsApp images. Keep reading to find the best possible solution to get all your photos back!
Method 1 – Recovering WhatsApp Images With a Backup
If you have previously enabled scheduled backups on your device, then you can easily get back all your images in no time. These backups can be of any sort – personal cloud, iCloud, Google Drive, or anything of that kind. To help you out, we have discussed this process in detail in our Guide on Recovering WhatsApp Chats on Android/iOS. The guide discusses getting back WhatsApp chats. However, the procedure is the same as that mentioned there. Just reflect everything mentioned there, and you will be able to get back all your deleted WhatsApp Images.
Method 2 – Using Third-Party Software to Recover WhatsApp Images Deleted By Sender
So, if you have not enabled backups, or if you cannot find the photo that you are looking for in your backup file, you can go for this method. There are many data recovery software available in the market. These programs help you to restore all previously deleted data from your device. You just need to install the program, scan your device and that’s it. It will automatically list out all the recoverable files from your device. All you need to do now is to select all files that you want to recover and hit a button. These files will now appear back on your device!
As we mentioned before, there are tons of such data recovery programs available on the internet. To make things easier, we have listed a few software programs that you can try out. Choose the one that suits you the best and follow all the steps mentioned below –
WhatsDelete
This application usually works as anti-delete software. This means that you can access any past content on your device, even after you delete them. This includes your WhatsApp media files (photos, videos, etc.). Apart from this, this app also lets you read messages anonymously (eliminating blue ticks and last seen data). Here is the detailed procedure for using this application on your mobile phone –
- Launch the Google Play Store application on your Android phone (make sure that your device is connected to the internet).
- From the search bar on the top, search, download, and install the WhatsDelete application.
- Launch WhatsDelete and grant all the permissions it asks for.
- From the set of options listed below, select WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business (according to the type of WhatsApp you use).
- Once you are inside the application, you will see multiple tabs with names like Chat, Status, Images, Video, Audio, and Documents. Go to the respective tab named under the type of file that you want to recover.
So, whenever a person unsends or deletes a message, you will receive a notification of the user action. You can open the notification to go into the app. You can see all the deleted content under the respective tabs.
WhatsRemoved+
This application is almost similar to WhatsDelete (discussed above). Whenever someone sends you a message through WhatsApp, WhatsRemoved+ immediately saves all the incoming WhatsApp texts inside. So, even if someone deletes the image or video, you can go into the application and access all the messages (and media files) without any difficulty. This application is also available on the Google Play Store. Here is how you use it –
- Open the Google Play Store Application from your Mobile Phone.
- From the Search box on the top, search, download, and install the WhatsRemoved+ application.
- Launch WhatsDelete and grant all the permissions it asks for (including the notification access permission).
- After this, it asks you whether you want to save deleted files. Click on Yes, Save Files.
- From the set of options listed below, select WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business (according to the type of WhatsApp you use).
That’s it. The other steps are similar to those mentioned in the above process.
