We have made this article just for you. In this article, we will discuss a few methods that will help you recover your Naver account. Therefore, keep reading to find the perfect solution that fits your problem –
Case 1 – You forgot the Password to your Naver Account
Firstly, you need a username and a password to log in to your Naver account. So, what if you forget your password? How will you log in to your account? Unless you change your password or try remembering it, there is no way to access your account. You have tried remembering your password, and you can’t. So, the only way to access your account now is to change your password. But, do you know how to do it? If not, don’t worry. In this section, we have clearly listed out the steps to recover your Naver password.
Method 1 – Logging in Through Other Means
Have you linked your Naver account with any other social media site? If you have, then this method is just for you. In this method, we will be logging in to your Naver account through any of your linked social media accounts. Here is how you do it –
- Firstly, go to the official Naver Homepage.
- In your log in screen, you will find a few other options to access your account. There are icons of Facebook, Twitter, Google and Line.
- Now, click on any of the sites that you have linked with your Naver account.
- After that, log in to that social media account.
That’s it! This will automatically log you into your linked Naver Account. But remember, if you have logged in to your Naver account through any other method, you cannot change your password through it. You need to log in directly to change your password.
Method 2 – Using Two-Step Verification Process
- Firstly, go to the official Naver Homepage.
- To your right, you will see a big green button titled NAVER Sign in. Click on Password that is right below it. If you are using LINE WEBTOON, there is a Forgot password? button right on the login page. Click on it.
- Naver will ask you to enter your email address. Enter the one that you have registered with Naver.
- Click on Send.
Once you click on Send, Naver will email you. This will contain all further instructions. Just follow all the instructions on the email and on the screen to reach the password reset page. After this, you can easily change your password. You will use this password to log in to your Naver account whenever you need it.
Case 2 – You Deleted your Naver Account
At some time, when we are busy with something else, we may end up doing something that we haven’t planned. You may have even accidentally deleted your Naver account and now want to get it back. Or else, you may have deleted your account on purpose, but later changed your mind. Unfortunately, Naver does not let you recover a deleted account. According to its privacy policy, Naver deletes all of its user data as soon as a person unsubscribes from the service. So, once you delete your Naver account, all your data gets deleted from the Naver server. So, even if you try logging in with the same mobile number, it will, unfortunately, raise an error.
However, you can try contacting the Naver Help Center to clarify your problems. Just visit the help center, type in your problem, or even explain your problem through an email to Naver.
Case 3 – Your Naver Account is Suspended
Sometimes, if Naver finds your account to be misleading, abnormal, or if there is some unusual activity going on in your account, Naver suspends it. Also, if you are logged in to your account on multiple devices at the same time, Naver considers this as suspicious activity. As a result, it sometimes suspends your account. But, what to do if you want to recover your account?
There is one possible way that you could try out to get back your account. However, this method may not work in certain cases. Previously, Naver has refused to unlock some accounts as it detects unusual activity. Although, it is worth trying. This method requires you to upload your photograph. So, it is better yielding if you carry this out on a computer. Here is how you do it –
- At first, go to Naver’s Account Recovery Request page.
- Click on the blue link provided at this page. If you have trouble finding it, or if it does not work for you, click here.
